Using an AI tool for an occasional task is one thing. Making it part of how your business operates takes a little more thought.
I help owners and leaders work out where AI could be useful in their workflows, internal systems and products. We start with the work itself: what takes time, where information gets lost, and what your team needs to do consistently.
Then we look at what information the AI needs, how the process could work, and where a person should review or approve the result. The aim is a useful business capability, not another tool that nobody quite knows what to do with.
For workflows and products
- Identify a worthwhile starting point rather than trying to change everything at once.
- Work out whether to use an existing product, configure a tool or build something specific.
- Organise the knowledge and instructions the workflow needs.
- Consider mistakes, sensitive information and appropriate human oversight.
- Agree how to test whether the approach is useful before relying on it more widely.
For software you've already built
You may have built an app using AI-assisted coding tools, or had a freelancer build it through a platform such as Upwork. A working app is a useful start, but it doesn't automatically mean it's ready for customers, colleagues or important business processes.
